3 · Hack: AI Labs

🧪 Two guided labs, ~30 min

Hands-on and step by step: a guide on the left of each lab tells you what to try, and hints unlock if you get stuck. No coding or experience needed. The AI runs on our own server, so break it as hard as you like.

What you’ll do

  1. Lab 1: a chatbot knows a secret password. Talk it into revealing it, then beat its defenses: first a “keep it secret” rule, then input and output filters.
  2. Lab 2: Priya’s AI assistant reads and sends her email. You can only send her one email, so make her own agent leak her password-reset code to you. Then turn on 🛡 Defense and try again.
  3. Why it matters: these are real attacks on AI chatbots and AI agents (OWASP’s #1 LLM risk), and the same tricks you’ll need for the CTF.

4 · Compete: Prompt Injection CTF

🚩 6 AIs. 6 flags.

Each AI is hiding a flag like AIV{name_1a2b3c4d}. Your flags are unique to you, so copying a friend’s won’t work. Make the AI leak it, paste it in, and climb the live scoreboard.

  1. Log in on the CTF page with your sign-up email and the booth PIN.
  2. Pick a challenge and chat with the AI. Only words, no code.
  3. Submit the flag you extracted. Points appear on the scoreboard right away.
  4. Log out when you’re done if you’re on a booth computer.
